Aug 24-25, 2002: I was hating life as I started the marathon, so I strolled parts of it until Jennifer got out of the truck and ran with me for about three miles. That helped me kick it into gear and also made all the dodging of the zillions of pedestrians in Honolulu a bit more enjoyable. Chris Frost later told me that he ran through the mall instead of down the sidewalk!
