This quaint refuge soon had a gaggle of cyclists - wearing skirts, hats, “breeks” (knickers), vests, tweed, cotton, and wool - strewn across its porch and flower-filled garden. Eschewing modern day cycling fare, we happily dove into giant slices of banana crème pie, ginger cake with rhubarb sauce, and other heart-warming delicacies. Yours truly with Elizabeth.
