Photos by Chris Kostman, June 6-10, 2002: Mustafa Kemal rose to prominence here and later led the nation of Turkey well into the 20th century in part because of his eloquence and perspective. His speeches and writings remind me of JFK for their far-sightedness and ability to stir passion.
